The final round of the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open <\/a>is underway, and Justin Rose<\/a> has a chance to make a lot of money and a little history.<\/p>\n

Rose comes into Sunday at 21-under for the week, with a six-shot lead over Joel Dahmen<\/a>. Assuming he holds on, he\u2019ll become the first winner to hold the outright lead after every round of the San Diego event since Tommy Bolt in 1955. (Johnny Miller went wire-to-wire at Torrey Pines in 1982, but he was tied for the lead after the first round.) Rose, 45, also has a chance to break the tournament record for the largest margin of victory of eight shots. That mark is held by Tiger Woods and three other players.<\/p>\n

In Saturday\u2019s third round, Rose fired a 4-under 68, the same score as his play partner, Dahmen. But it was Dahmen who came away gushing about Rose\u2019s play while essentially conceding the tournament to him.<\/p>\n

Technically, it ain\u2019t over until it\u2019s over. But it might be, if Dahmen says it is.<\/p>\n

Whomever walks off with the crown, he will be much richer. First place pays $1.728 million, which still leaves lots of moolah for the others in a tournament with a $9.6 million purse.<\/p>\n
