\n\tNFL<\/a> Commissioner Roger Goodell<\/a> held a press conference as he kicked things off in the lead-up to Super Bowl<\/a> LX.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn October of last year, it was reported that ICE agents would patrol the big game to make arrests of undocumented immigrants as Bad Bunny<\/a> was also set to perform during the half-time show.<\/p>\n

\n\tBad Bunny had a big night at the Grammys on Sunday night, winning the top award of the night<\/a> for Album of the Year. The Puerto Rican artist also made it clear where he stood on Donald Trump\u2019s immigration policy, calling out ICE during his acceptance speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tGoodell was asked if he was expecting any political statements from Bad Bunny during the Halftime show following the Grammys, to which the commissioner said, \u201cI think Bad Bunny, and I think that was demonstrated last night, is one of the great artists in the world, and that\u2019s one of the reasons we chose him.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBut the other reason is he understood the platform he was on and that this platform is to use to unite people and to be able to bring people together with their creativity, with their talents, and to be able to use this moment to do that,\u201d he continued. \u201cI think artists in the past have done that. I think Bad Bunny understands that, and I think he\u2019ll have a great performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGoodell was also asked about ICE\u2019s presence at the event, to which he said, \u201cSecurity is obviously one of the things we focus on the most. It\u2019s a SEAR [Special Event Assessment Rating] 1 level event that involves unique assets at the federal level, state level, and the local level, all working together.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI see no change in that, in the preparations for the Super Bowl. We\u2019ve not seen that. We\u2019re working with all three of those levels and doing everything we can to make sure it\u2019s a safe environment, and the federal government is a big part of that, including this administration and every other administration before that,\u201d he said. \u201cI think SEAR 1 is probably the category we\u2019ve had since at least the turn of the century, if not before that.
