Dar es Salaam. Global computing giant Acer Inc. has officially entered the East African market as part of efforts to support the region\u2019s fast-growing digital transformation.<\/p>\n
The company is launching a wide range of technology solutions tailored to meet the evolving demands of businesses, educators, consumers, and gamers across the region.<\/p>\n
Its latest product portfolio includes energy-efficient desktops and durable laptops for professionals, cloud-based devices for digital learning environments, home computing options, and high-performance gaming machines and accessories.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur goal is to empower East Africa\u2019s businesses, schools, and households with technology that enhances productivity, creativity, entertainment, and connectivity,\u201d said the Vice President for Acer Middle East and Africa, Mr Grigory Nizovsky.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe region\u2019s digital transformation is accelerating, and we are excited to support this growth with reliable commercial and education solutions that drive efficiency and innovation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Acer\u2019s focus on the education sector remains central to its strategy.<\/p>\n
The firm boasts a strong global track record in supporting digital learning environments through dependable, easy-to-manage technologies that promote inclusion and long-term innovation.<\/p>\n
As part of its global sustainability agenda, Acer is also introducing its eco-conscious \u2018Vero\u2019 line\u2014devices made from recycled materials and designed for ease of repair and recycling.<\/p>\n
This initiative supports the company\u2019s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 and builds on its continued recognition on global sustainability indices, including the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and Forbes\u2019 ranking of the World\u2019s Top Companies for Women.<\/p>\n
In addition to technology development, Acer is strengthening its regional supply chain to improve flexibility and better respond to local demand.<\/p>\n
The company operates assembly plants in several regions, including South Africa, to increase efficiency in meeting customer needs and participating in public procurement processes.<\/p>\n
Products will be available through authorised retailers across East Africa. Acer also plans to partner with local stakeholders to provide training, after-sales services, and financing solutions aimed at improving accessibility and long-term customer support.<\/p>\n
