New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye<\/a> met his eventual wife, Ann Michael Maye<\/a>, in middle school \u2014 and have been seemingly inseparable ever since.<\/p>\n

Drake, 23, spoke glowingly about getting married in 2025 during his Super Bowl media availability<\/a> on Monday, February 2, adding that he would advise his teammates to pursue matrimonial bliss.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy teammates have the right to whatever they choose but I would definitely advise them to eventually get married,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s one of the best things I\u2019ve experienced in my life. There\u2019s no better feeling than coming home to a wife that loves you and cares for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI know my teammates, some of them are experiencing different parts of their life. I chose to get married young, and I don\u2019t regret it one bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake and Ann, 22, married in June 2025, before Drake\u2019s sophomore NFL season. In the weeks following their wedding, Ann shared dozens of ceremony photos<\/a> via Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u201cA gloomy Friday calls for more wedding pictures\ud83e\udd0d,\u201d she captioned a post from September. \u201cDrake and I are so blessed to have the best family and friends that stood by our side on our wedding day. Forever thankful for these people!\u201d<\/p>\n

As the Patriots have advanced through the NFL playoffs, Ann has gone from a celebrity among New England fans to a national sensation. Nicknamed Queen of the North, fans everywhere have been drawn to her with her custom gameday gear to support Drake, endearing social media presence and her famous baking videos.<\/p>\n

Though Ann has been by Drake\u2019s side through high school, at the University of North Carolina and now into the pros, the quarterback has spent much of the time leading up to the Super Bowl answering questions about her.<\/p>\n

He hasn\u2019t seemed to mind at all, reflecting during a Thursday, January 29, press conference on how excited he was to get Ann to New England<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been awesome to follow her journey. I know [I] was looking forward to her getting up here,\u201d he said. \u201cAfter we got married, she came up here and had never lived up north.\u201d<\/p>\n

Drake added, \u201c[She] had never seen this much snow on the ground, so obviously it was an adjustment for her. She\u2019s loved it, she\u2019s loved the people up here, living up here [and] she loves the support. She\u2019s got her own little journey that\u2019s been awesome, being herself and that\u2019s the best thing about her and what I love her for.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos to punch their ticket to the Super Bowl on January 25, Ann gushed over her husband<\/a> on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cWE ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!\u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\udc99\u2764\ufe0f\ud83d\udc99,\u201d she wrote via Instagram alongside a handful of celebration photos. \u201cWords can\u2019t even begin to describe how proud I am of you, #10!!!! Watching your dreams come true is the biggest blessing and I love you!!!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

The Patriots will face the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8.<\/p>\n
