{"id":448516,"date":"2026-02-04T13:04:10","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T13:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/448516\/"},"modified":"2026-02-04T13:04:10","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T13:04:10","slug":"nvidias-huang-dismisses-fears-ai-will-replace-software-tools-as-stock-selloff-deepens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/448516\/","title":{"rendered":"Nvidia&#8217;s Huang dismisses fears AI will replace software tools as stock selloff deepens"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Feb 4 (Reuters) &#8211; Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang dismissed fears that <a href=\"https:\/\/tech.yahoo.com\/ai\/\" data-ylk=\"slk:artificial intelligence;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">artificial intelligence<\/a> will replace software and related tools, calling the \u200bidea &#8220;illogical&#8221;, after a significant selloff in global software stocks on \u200cTuesday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">The selloff, partly sparked by AI developer Anthropic&#8217;s updated chatbot release last week that \u200cheightened fears of AI-driven disruption in the data and professional services industry, broadened on Wednesday, hitting software stocks in India, Japan and China.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">Speaking at an artificial intelligence conference in San Francisco hosted by Cisco Systems \u2060Huang said worries that AI \u200cwill make software companies less relevant are misguided and AI will continue to rely on existing software rather \u200dthan rebuild basic tools from scratch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">&#8220;There&#8217;s this notion that the tool in the software industry is in decline, and will be replaced by AI &#8230; It \u200bis the most illogical thing in the world, and time will \u200cprove itself,&#8221; Huang said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"yf-vbsvxt\">&#8220;If you were a human or robot, artificial, general robotics, would you use tools or reinvent tools?
