\n\tFollowing his work on Mike Flanagan\u2019s The Life of Chuck, Chiwetel Ejiofor<\/a> will be returning to work with the filmmaker on the next iteration of The Exorcist<\/a> joining previously announced Scarlett Johansson, Jacobi Jupe, and Diane Lane.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Blumhouse-Atomic Monster-Morgan Creek-Universal production is scheduled to open in theaters on March 12, 2027. Cameras are about to roll in New York City. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe Flanagan penned movie is an all-new story in the franchise, and not a sequel to 2023\u2019s The Exorcist: Believer. Flanagan is producing and directing via his Red Room Pictures banner. Alexandra Magistro will also executive produce for Red Room Pictures. David Robinson produces for Morgan Creek Entertainment. Jason Blum and Ryan Turek serve as producer and executive producer, respectively, for Blumhouse-Atomic Monster.<\/p>\n

\n\tEjiofor was Oscar nominated for Best Actor, and won a BAFTA for his turn in 12 Years a Slave. He\u2019s also starred in Doctor Strange, The Martian, Children of Men, American Gangster, Inside Man, and Love Actually. His recent work includes The Old Guard 2 for Netflix, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, and Marvel and Sony\u2019s Venom: The Last Dance. He will next be seen in Paramount\u2019s Children of Blood and Bone, and A24\u2019s The Backrooms. Ejiofor made his directorial debut with\u00a0The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind\u00a0which premiered on Netflix. His second directorial,\u00a0Rob Peace, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received a NAACP Image Award nomination. His work across stage and screen has earned him an Olivier Award, Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, and a CBE for services to drama.<\/p>\n
