On Wednesday, the city\u2019s inaugural WNBA team released its \u2018Tempo 26\u2019 Explorer jersey for purchase, and warned that quantities would be limited. Fans might remember that back in December, the franchise unveiled the jersey designs, featuring the team\u2019s colours \u2013 Borealis Blue and Tempo Bordeaux \u2013 along with the Tempo\u2019s signature six speed lines.<\/p>\n

But within the hour, the Toronto Tempo followed up saying that the jerseys were out of stock.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cOur community showed up \u2013 and sold out fast!,\u201d the team captioned on Instagram.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fans are expressing their disappointment in the Tempo\u2019s comment section, many saying they missed out despite being ready to purchase when the sale went live.<\/p>\n
\u201cHad in my cart right at 1, website refreshed for some unknown reason and then had an empty cart at 1:02,\u201d one person commented, adding that they\u2019re also a season ticket member. \u201cI hope you do more!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHow do you sell out in less than 5min?,\u201d another commenter questioned.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cAs I hit to complete my order I got bounced because they were gone,\u201d one person wrote. \u201cNeed a larger release knowing how big this fan base is!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cY\u2019all I blinked and they were gone!!!,\u201d another said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A few hours later, the Toronto Tempo teased that fans had \u201cset the tempo,\u201d adding that the speed at which the drop sold out was \u201cunexpected.\u201d<\/p>\n
