(AP Photo\/Kareem Elgazzar)\t<\/p>\n<p>The Red Sox are reportedly bolstering their infield with a versatile veteran just ahead of spring training.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JeffPassan\/status\/2019198987723546645\" rel=\"nofollow\">According to ESPN\u2019s Jeff Passan<\/a>, the Red Sox have signed Isiah Kiner-Falefa to a one-year contract \u2014 with the former Yankee expected to log reps all across Boston\u2019s infield.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kiner-Falefa is coming off of a 2025 season where appeared in 138 games with both the Pirates and Blue Jays \u2014 earning a significant amount of playing time between shortstop, third base, and second base.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Red Sox have a need for an infielder at both second and third base \u2014 especially after the team lost out on Alex Bregman and Bo Bichette in free agency.
