Eat your heart out, Morley Field. A new disc golf nexus has risen.<\/p>\n

The Johnny Roberts Disc Golf Course<\/a> in Arvada<\/a> was the most-played course in the United States last year, according to an analysis<\/a> by the disc golf app UDisc. This marks the first time that a Colorado course has earned the coveted top position on the annual list.<\/p>\n

Johnny Roberts dethroned Morley Field in San Diego<\/a> as the nation\u2019s most popular disc golf course, ending the California course\u2019s seven-year winning streak.<\/p>\n

The free-to-play eighteen-hole course at 8001 West 59th Avenue logged nearly 46,000 rounds played in 2025, compared to Morley Field\u2019s 44,370 rounds, according to the report. UDisc ranks courses based on the number of rounds recorded by players using its app.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with a big increase of 6,788 rounds year-over-year, Johnny Roberts may have been helped by the rare opening of a new course in San Diego,\u201d the report reads. \u201cAltitude Disc Golf Park started showing up in the lists of the world\u2019s most played courses we include in our bi-weekly Release Point newsletter and may have siphoned a bit of traffic from Morley near the end of 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnny Roberts previously came in second place for three years in a row, with approximately 39,000 rounds played in 2024<\/a>, 35,000 rounds in 2023<\/a> and 28,000 rounds in 2022<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The short, putter-only public park course is known for its beginner-friendly difficulty level and beautiful views, located in Arvada\u2019s Memorial Park with a creek running through it. <\/p>\n

The course\u2019s top ranking in 2025 comes as no surprise to Westword. We named Johnny Roberts the best disc golf course<\/a> in our Best of Denver Awards<\/a> way back in 2021 and 2023. But we\u2019re glad that the rest of the country is finally catching on.<\/p>\n

Here are the nation\u2019s top ten most popular disc golf courses, according to UDisc\u2019s report. Only the top-played course in each state is featured on the list:<\/p>\n
