And so he will not become an owner of the Browns.<\/p>\n<p>The Hall of Famer <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcsports.com\/nfl\/profootballtalk\/rumor-mill\/news\/charles-woodson-approved-as-browns-limited-partner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">had been approved<\/a> to buy 0.1 percent of the franchise in May 2025. The deal, however, did not go through.<\/p>\n<p>Woodson told Ryan Glasspiegel of Front Office Sports that Woodson opted to keep his name on the brand <a class=\"Link\" href=\"https:\/\/frontofficesports.com\/charles-woodson-chooses-liquor-brand-over-browns-owner-stake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">in lieu of owning a piece of the Browns<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought I was going to be a proud owner of the Browns but it wasn\u2019t able to happen because I wasn\u2019t able to take my name off of my product,\u201d Woodson said. \u201cIt\u2019s what made the product.
