\n\tEXCLUSIVE:\u00a0Riding high on the success of buzzy award season titles\u00a0Little Am\u00e9lie\u00a0and\u00a0Arco<\/a>, Goodfellas\u00a0Animation<\/a>\u00a0will kick off sales on a trio of upcoming animated features at the European Film Market<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Paris-based company will unveil\u00a0the new\u00a0promoreel to buyers for Olivier Clert\u2019s Michael Morpurgo adaptation\u00a0Lucy Lost<\/a>,\u00a0having originally signalled its involvement in the project in 2024.<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing in the wake of Cannes-selected,\u00a0Annecy winners and C\u00e9sar-Bafta-Academy Award nominated\u00a0pictures Arco\u00a0and\u00a0Little Am\u00e9lie (which the company launched at the 2025 EFM<\/a>),\u00a0Lucy Lost is Goodfellas Animation<\/a>\u2019s new high-profile 2D festival hopeful for 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdapted from\u00a0bestselling\u00a0War Horse\u00a0writer Morpurgo\u2019s 2014 novel\u00a0Listen to the Moon, the film revolves around the titular figure of mysterious eleven-year-old Lucy, whose ability to see visions no-one else can see sparks suspicion in the quiet fishing village she calls home.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen Lucy meets her secret imaginary friend Milly, they embark on a magical quest to uncover her true origins.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is produced by Marc du Pontavice\u2019s Xilam Films which enjoyed success with Academy-Award nominated animated feature\u00a0I Lost My Body.<\/p>\n

\n\tClert\u2019s\u00a0past credits include storyboard artist on the Oscar, Bafta and C\u00e9sar-nominated animation\u00a0Little Am\u00e9lie\u00a0as well as\u00a0The Little Prince\u00a0and\u00a0The Legend of Klaus.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe voicecast has yet to be unveiled for the feature which Le Pacte is set to release in France<\/a> in 2026. Goodfellas Animation is handling all other territories.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe company will also introduce\u00a0Treasure Trekkers<\/a>, a spin-off of the popular CGI-animated series of the same name inspired by\u00a0J.S. Friedman\u2019s popular children\u2019s book series\u00a0Maurice\u2019s Valises.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDirector Kevin Munroe has gathered a high-profile voice cast featuring Alan Cumming<\/a>, Jack Mcbrayer, Greg Cipes, Tara Strong, Meredith Bull and John DiMaggio.<\/p>\n

\n\tLike the original, the animation is CGI while the original characterization has been reworked. A comic book spinning off the new feature is already available.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe new feature revolves around a 12-year-old monkey called MIP who is struggling to find his place in a world dominated by cats and rodents. A magic map sets him on a perilous quest in search of his roots in the distant land of Empathra and a journey that will teach him that kindness is a superpower.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tMunroe first broke out in 2007 with his\u00a0Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles\u00a0revival, with subsequent credits including\u00a0Ratchet and Clank\u00a0and\u00a0My Little Pony: The Movie. \u00a0The project reunites him with\u00a0Ratchet and Clank\u00a0writer Gerry Swallow, whose credits also include\u00a0Ice Age 2: The Meltdown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tArnar\u00a0Gunnarsson who was involved in the original series is executive producer, while Canadian animation studio Squeeze is handling production.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tGoodfellas\u00a0Animation\u00a0will also launch sales on French duo Richard Danto and Pascal David\u2019s comedy-adventure\u00a0Tudy.<\/p>\n

\n\tBilled as being in the\u00a0spirit\u00a0of\u00a0Cars\u00a0and\u00a0Planes, the story revolves around the titular Tudy, an intrepid young lifeboat who dreams of adventures on the high seas but is held back by her father, the Admiral, who is still haunted by the loss of his wife. With the help of headstrong lifeboat Begbraz, she sneaks out of the harbour with her trusty friends, a witty crab and quirky girl.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature is produced by Cosmic Productions and Toon Factory in co-production with Mr Loyal and Gebeka Films.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe company will also continue sales on\u00a0The Legendaries\u00a0for which it is organizing a market screening. The film generated than 150,000 admissions during its first week of release in France, from January 28 and, as reported by Deadline,<\/a> has already sold to a slew of territories.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt will also continue sales on Annecy 2025 titles\u00a0Another World\u00a0and\u00a0Animal Farm, which will be released by Angel Studios in the U.S. this May.\u00a0<\/p>\n
