A British singer is going viral for his Oscar-worthy social media video after a flying fish landed on a deck where he was having dinner. And I promise you, this one won’t disappoint.\"<\/p>\n

For reference, 44-year-old Craig David found fame in 1999 with a string of R&B hits across the UK, like \u201cFill Me In\u201d and \u201c7 Days.\u201d He is still going at it, releasing his ninth studio album just last year, and performing all around the globe.\"<\/p>\n

Craig is also known for his regular social media posts, with the star no stranger to documenting his day-to-day life on his Instagram story. And his 1.5 million followers were in for a shock when they stayed until the end of a video that he shared earlier this week.\"The 38-second video begins with Craig filming a blue flying fish flapping around on a deck. He tells fans: \u201cThis is crazy! I\u2019m literally having dinner, and this fish comes flying out.\u201d Craig then says to the fish: \u201cOK, I\u2019m just going to grab you, here we go, we\u2019re putting you back in.\u201d\"<\/p>\n

\u201cCome on, man, stay with me, stay with me,\u201d he continues as he pans the camera to show that he has picked the fish up.\"<\/p>\n

\u201cSo this fish just literally just jumped out of the sea,\u201d Craig explains. \u201cAnd you\u2019re going back in here, my friend.\u201d The singer films himself seemingly doing the right thing by throwing the fish back into the ocean unscathed. Continuing to shoot the fish as it swims away, Craig exclaims: \u201cOh my gosh, that\u2019s the full moon for you!\u201d\"\u201cCome on, come on, you\u2019ve still got it inside of you, you\u2019ve still got it,\u201d Craig urges as he tries to make sure that the fish is OK.\"<\/p>\n

Almost right on cue, a bigger fish leaps and eats the flying fish \u2014 leaving Craig understandable speechless. In fact, you can just hear Craig saying: \u201cOhhhhhhhh dear,\u201d before the video abruptly cuts off. In addition to being posted to Craig\u2019s Instagram story, he also shared it to his TikTok page.\"<\/p>\n

Needless to say, the sad plot twist turned this short clip into a cinematic masterpiece in the eyes of social media users, and it has gone incredibly viral across all platforms. One X repost that has been liked more than 18,000 times reads<\/a>: \u201cearly contender for best short film of 2026.\u201d\"\u201cIt\u2019s got everything. A protagonist, last minute villain who doesn\u2019t speak, and a full moon,\u201d somebody else replied<\/a>, while another joked<\/a>: \u201cThis is some shit straight out of The Simpsons.\u201d\"<\/p>\n
