{"id":453292,"date":"2026-02-06T22:16:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T22:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/453292\/"},"modified":"2026-02-06T22:16:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T22:16:11","slug":"asheville-art-museum-exhibit-spotlights-american-impressionism","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/453292\/","title":{"rendered":"Asheville Art Museum exhibit spotlights American Impressionism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ASHEVILLE, NC (WLOS) \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ashevilleart.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Asheville Art Museum<\/a> is set to illuminate a transformative era in American art with &#8220;In a New Light: American Impressionism 1870\u20131940 | Works from the Bank of America Collection.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Celebrating the movement that breaks with academic tradition and embraces modern life, the exhibition traces how American Impressionism reshaped the nation\u2019s artistic landscape and helped lay the foundation for modern and contemporary art.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wlos.com\/news\/local\/asheville-art-museum-unveils-11-new-works-renowned-artists-region-nationally-radcliffe-bailey-gifford-beal-artists-community-admission\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ASHEVILLE ART MUSEUM UNVEILS 11 NEW WORKS BY RENOWNED ARTISTS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The show is presented through the <a href=\"https:\/\/about.bankofamerica.com\/en\/making-an-impact\/art-in-our-communities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Bank of America Art in our Communities<\/a> program, which loans exhibitions from the bank&#8217;s collection for free to nonprofit community museums.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"{p}Robert Spencer, Afternoon Bathers, circa 1920. (Credit: Bank of America Collection via Asheville Art Museum)<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is available to view from Feb. 7 through June 29 and will feature more than 120 works of art.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to partner with Asheville Art Museum to bring this incredible exhibition to Western North Carolina, as part of the Art in our Communities program that loans exhibitions at no cost to nonprofit community museums,&#8221; David Dowd, president of Bank of America Asheville, said in the press release.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wlos.com\/news\/local\/winter-rainbow-over-western-north-carolina-february-viewer-photos-weather\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">GALLERY: WINTER RAINBOW OVER WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA<\/a><\/p>\n<p>General admission to the Asheville Art Museum is $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and $10 for students, which includes children ages 6 through 17 or degree-seeking college students with a student ID.<\/p>\n<p>Comment with Bubbles<\/p>\n<p>BE THE FIRST TO COMMENT<\/p>\n<p>General admission is always free for Museum Members, active duty military personnel with valid ID, and children under 6.
