But in order to get there, both top stars <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cagesideseats.com\/wwe\/415427\/drew-mcintyre-hit-as-wwe-names-wrestlemania-main-event\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">took heavy shots<\/a> at WWE Champion Drew McIntyre for being a lesser star on a lesser show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Drew finally had his chance to respond on tonight\u2019s (Feb. 6) SmackDown after dealing with separate attacks from Cody Rhodes and Jacob Fatu throughout the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Drew said he was disappointed and expected better from both Punk and Reigns. What frustrates Drew the most isn\u2019t the attacks on him, but instead how they tried to make SmackDown and his championship seem second rate. Everyone in the back should take that as a declaration of war.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Drew defended himself as the guy who took no days off and carried WWE during the pandemic. He invoked the names of past WWE champions and real men like Sammartino, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, The Rock, not Dusty Rhodes, and Steve Austin, while calling Punk and Roman liars for saying he\u2019s not the number one champion in the company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">McIntyre took shots at Reigns for needing his entire family to be the top guy, and \u201cFragile Phil\u201d for being one fall away from a career ending injury.
