\n\t\u201cSinners<\/a>\u201d composer Ludwig G\u00f6ransson and \u201cKPop Demon Hunters<\/a>\u201d singer and songwriter EJAE led the winners at the 7th annual\u00a0Society of Composers and Lyricists<\/a>\u00a0awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tG\u00f6ransson took home two SCL Awards<\/a> for his \u201cSinners\u201d score and the original song \u201cI Lied to You,\u201d co-written with Raphael Saadiq. Songwriters EJAE and Mark Sonnenblick won for outstanding original song for a comedy or musical with \u201cGolden.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tElsewhere, \u201cTrain Dreams\u201d composer Bryce Dessner took home the outstanding original score award for an independent film.<\/p>\n

\n\tG\u00f6ransson and \u201cSinners\u201d director Ryan Coogler were presented with the Spirit of Collaboration Award.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn the TV side, composer Theodore Shapiro took home the outstanding score for a television production for \u201cSeverance,\u201d while \u201cThe White Lotus\u201d composer Crist\u00f3bal Tapia de Veer won for original title sequence for a television production.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe SCL celebrated the 50th Anniversary of \u201cRocky\u201d with a musical tribute and performance conducted by Academy Award-winning composer Bill Conti, who scored five films in the blockbuster franchise and co-composed its iconic theme \u201cGonna Fly Now\u201d (\u201cTheme from Rocky\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tMelissa Manchester performed for the In Memoriam segment, singing \u201cI\u2019ll Never Say Goodbye,\u201d her Oscar-nominated song from the 1979 film \u201cThe Promise,\u201d written by David Shire and the late Alan Bergman and Marilyn Bergman. Alan Bergman, who passed away in 2025, was featured during the segment.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe awards were handed out at the Skirball Center in Los Angeles and hosted by Kevin Bacon and Emmy-winning composer Michael Bacon (The Bacon Brothers).<\/p>\n
