The model and entrepreneur, 37, caught up with PEOPLE exclusively at the Starry Starry Night Gala, benefitting breast cancer awareness, in Palm Desert, Calif., on Jan. 31. During the conversation, she revealed that her kids<\/a>, son King Cairo<\/a>, 13, and daughter Dream<\/a>, 9, don\u2019t spend their time scrolling feeds.<\/p>\n \u201cKing and Dream, they don\u2019t care about Instagram or TikTok or any of these type of things at all. They don’t care,\u201d Blac Chyna said.<\/p>\n She went on to say that she tries to maintain a sense of normalcy for both kids to ensure they don\u2019t grow up too fast.<\/p>\n \u201cThey’re just being kids, and I’m letting them be kids. I’m not putting them in certain things to disturb their inner childhood,\u201d she explained. \u201cI’m keeping them sheltered, but not too sheltered, but just enough. You know?\u201d<\/p>\n Blac Chyna\/Instagram<\/p>\n Blac Chyna, who was born Angela Ren\u00e9e White, shares King with rapper Tyga<\/a>, 36, and Dream with Rob Kardashian<\/a>, 38.<\/p>\n While she is currently single, she has previously opened up about the importance of co-parenting with both former partners, noting that she believes successful co-parenting comes down to \u201ccommunication\u201d and \u201cboundaries.\u201d<\/p>\n “I think the main thing is communication. And also, learning your boundaries,” she said while speaking to Access Hollywood<\/a> in March. “And, if you have your own thing going on, you won\u2019t be so much in the other person\u2019s business.”<\/p>\n Blac Chyna\/Instagram<\/p>\n “Sometimes people lose themselves and they\u2019re so caught up in the other parent\u2019s business to where they can\u2019t even focus on themselves,” she added. “But ultimately, focus on the kid, show respect, have boundaries and communication, and you should have a healthy co-parenting life<\/a>.”<\/p>\n The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! I’m giving all the love to myself,\u201d she said, adding that she\u2019s going to the gym every day and focusing on nutrition.<\/p>\n \u201cI’m like, if [love is] going to find me, it’s going to find me, but I need to heal myself.
