After Eutelsat OneWeb and Reliance Jio, Starlink becomes the third company to secure complete regulatory approval for offering satellite internet services in India.<\/p>\n<p>WHICH FREQUENCY BANDS HAVE BEEN APPROVED?<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The IN-SPACe approval and<a href=\"https:\/\/startuppedia.in\/startup-stories\/starting-with-25-lakh-initial-investment-husband-wife-duo-builds-a-d2c-pickles-superfoods-brand-served-over-8k-customers-in-just-1-year-9474058\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> authorization <\/a>will be valid till the first week of July 2030. <\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This nod also includes an allocation of specific frequency bands.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the gateway beams, the company is allowed to operate in the:<\/p>\n<p>Uplink bands of 27.5\u201329.1 GHz and 29.5\u201330 GHzDownlink bands of 17.8\u201318.6 GHz and 18.8\u201319.3 GHz<\/p>\n<p>These frequencies will use right-hand and left-hand circular polarisation.<\/p>\n<p>For user beams, Starlink will use:<\/p>\n<p>14.0\u201314.5 GHz uplink (LHCP)10.7\u201312.7 GHz downlink (RHCP).WHAT\u2019S NEXT FOR STARLINK<\/p>\n<p>Despite this final authorization to <a href=\"https:\/\/startuppedia.in\/startup-stories\/three-friends-from-amritsar-thought-of-a-startup-idea-while-sipping-on-tea-now-their-outstation-taxi-service-clocked-rs-15-cr-in-fy24-9439540\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">operate<\/a> its non-Indian GSO and NGSO satellite constellations to offer satellite internet services in the country, Starlink\u2019s commercial launch will not take place immediately.<\/p>\n<p>The company, which is part of Elon Musk\u2019s space exploration firm SpaceX, will now have to obtain spectrum from the Indian government, set up ground infrastructure like gateways, and comply with national security requirements through testing procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Starlink is planning to establish at least 3 gateway stations across India.
