Kaley Cuoco is reflecting on her painful divorce from her second husband, Karl Cook.<\/p>\n
During an appearance on \u201cThe Drew Barrymore Show,\u201d Cuoco, 40, opened up about how she battled depression when the former couple were going through their divorce proceedings<\/a> in 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was the premiere of the second season of\u00a0\u2018Flight Attendant,\u2019 and I woke up that morning, I was so depressed and so sad, I couldn\u2019t even breathe and I was just laying on the floor,\u201d Cuoco explained.<\/p>\n Drew Barrymore interviewing Kaley Cuoco. WireImage<\/p>\n \u201cI literally thought I was gonna die,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI really did. I said, \u2018What am I doing?’\u201d<\/p>\n Cuoco recalled that her team had to help her get ready for the event, which took place in April 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cThey literally got me ready on the floor. I couldn\u2019t get up,\u201d she shared. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018I can\u2019t go. I can\u2019t go anywhere.\u2019 I just blew up my life. My life\u2019s over. GC Images<\/p>\n \u201cI knew, when I was laying on that floor in my house, I thought, \u2018Oh my God, this is what they talk about. This is the lowest point I could get,’\u201d Cuoco added. <\/p>\n The \u201cBig Bang Theory\u201d alum called the moment \u201cthe worst morning of my life\u201d and noted that the irony was she thought the Season 2 premiere of her HBO Max show <\/a>\u201cwas supposed to be the best night of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s so crazy those things sometimes happen at the same time,\u201d she told Barrymore, 50.<\/p>\n Kaley Cuoco in \u201cThe Flight Attendant.\u201d HBO<\/p>\n Cuoco filed for divorce<\/a> from Cook, 35, in September 2021 after four years of marriage.<\/p>\n The pair, who\u00a0wed in June 2018<\/a>, said in a joint statement at the time, \u201cDespite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere is no anger or animosity, quite the contrary,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n The exes finalized their divorce<\/a> in June 2022.<\/p>\n Kaley Cuoco with Karl Cook at Seth Rogen\u2019s Hilarity For Charity at Hollywood Palladium on March 24, 2018. Penske Media via Getty Images<\/p>\n On \u201cThe Drew Barrymore Show,\u201d Cuoco said that three weeks after her low moment, she met her now\u00a0fianc\u00e9, \u201cOzark\u201d star Tom Pelphrey,<\/a> with whom she shares daughter Matilda, 2.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cI had prayed, and I feel like my soul died,\u201d Cuoco shared. \u201cAnd I had also said \u2014 I think I did a magazine. It was like, \u2018I\u2019m never getting married again.\u2019 I said it, I believed that in the moment, [and then] met Tom.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSometimes you just change your mind and that\u2019s okay,\u201d the Emmy nominee, who got engaged to Pelphrey, 43, in 2024, continued. \u201cYou probably didn\u2019t know I was laying on the floor before my premiere ready to die, that\u2019s true.
