Close<\/a> Joined ESPN in 2014 Multiple Authors<\/p>\n The betting public, which hasn’t fared well on the Super Bowl over the years, is siding heavily with the favored Seattle Seahawks<\/a> and their offensive playmakers in Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots<\/a>.<\/p>\n Sportsbooks have reported one-sided action on the Seahawks to win and cover the 4.5-point spread over the past two weeks.<\/p>\n On Sunday, 60% of the money bet on the game’s point spread was on Seattle at DraftKings Sportsbook, and the Seahawks to win the game outright was the most popular parlay leg at Hard Rock Bet.<\/p>\n Editor’s Picks<\/p>\n 2 Related<\/p>\n Seattle running back Kenneth Walker III<\/a> and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba<\/a> have attracted significant support from bettors in the Super Bowl player prop market as well.<\/p>\n The over on Walker’s receiving yards (20.5) had attracted more bets than any other prop at BetMGM. Smith-Njigba had drawn more bets to score a touchdown than any other player and was second in bets and money wagered in the odds to win the MVP, behind only Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold<\/a>.<\/p>\n Smith-Njigba and Darnold accounted for 40% of the money wagered on DraftKings MVP odds as of Sunday morning.<\/p>\n “The Patriots winning in a low-scoring game would be the best outcome for the sportsbook,” BetMGM senior trading manager Christian Cipollini told ESPN on Sunday. “Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kenneth Walker III and Drake Maye<\/a> all going under on their props would be nice too.”<\/p>\n Nevada sportsbooks have suffered a statewide net loss on the Super Bowl only twice since gaming regulators began releasing figures on the game in 1991.<\/p>\n Bettors handed Nevada sportsbooks a $2.6 million loss on the Giants<\/a>‘ upset of the Patriots in 2008.
