After a rough end to his stint with the Caps, Kuemper has revived his career in LA, finishing third in Vezina Trophy voting last season.<\/p>\n<p>In 36 games for the Kings this year, Kuemper is 14-11-9 with a 2.59 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage. The 35-year-old backstop is expected to be Canada\u2019s third goalie, behind Thompson and <a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/player\/jordan-binnington\/\" class=\"player\" title=\"View Jordan Binnington&#039;s stats, bio, and status\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jordan Binnington<\/a> on the depth chart.<\/p>\n<p>Wilson, originally expected to play a checking-line role for the gold-medal favorites, <a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/2026\/02\/08\/tom-wilson-connor-mcdavid-macklin-celebrini-team-canada-practice-lines-olympics\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lined up on the team\u2019s top line with Connor McDavid and Macklin Celebrini at their first practice in Italy<\/a>. The Capitals\u2019 alternate captain and leading scorer has 49 points (23g, 26a) in 50 games this season.<\/p>\n<p>All the Canadian players <a href=\"https:\/\/russianmachineneverbreaks.com\/2026\/02\/08\/capitals-olympians-arrive-milan-2026-winter-olympics\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">arrived in Italy on Sunday morning<\/a>.
