It was established ahead of the 2013 season.<\/p>\n<p>Multiple Authors<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/game\/_\/gameId\/401772988\/seahawks-patriots\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Super Bowl LX<\/a> in the books, it&#8217;s time to look ahead to the 2026 NFL season with our new NFL Power Rankings.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/nfl-free-agency\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">free agency<\/a> doesn&#8217;t start for another month and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/draft\/news\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NFL draft<\/a> is in April. But right now, we can provide early outlooks for all 32 teams and preview what the offseason has in store. So in addition to our way-too-early rankings, we asked our NFL Nation reporters to describe each team&#8217;s offseason in three words. Some teams need to find a starting quarterback, 10 teams have new head coaches and every team has to make key decisions in free agency.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at which teams are primed to dominate the 2026 season. So it will be harder to duplicate their 2025 draft class in which all 11 selections (plus four undrafted rookies) made the roster. One of the Patriots&#8217; goals has been to replenish the roster with younger talent after some lean years prior to coach Mike Vrabel&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/43382844\/mike-vrabel-agrees-become-patriots-new-coach-sources-say\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">arrival<\/a>. In their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/game\/_\/gameId\/401772987\/rams-seahawks\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">playoff loss<\/a> to Seattle, wide receiver <a data-player-guid=\"490317ca-ee46-fbc3-7ae0-6eded1e9c14e\" href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/4386544\/xavier-smith\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Xavier Smith<\/a> muffed two punts, including one the Seahawks recovered before scoring a touchdown on the next play. Dan Skipper <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/47695668\/beloved-lions-ol-dan-skipper-announce-retirement-nfl\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced his retirement<\/a> in January, and it goes without saying that the unit wasn&#8217;t up to par this season.
