{"id":458206,"date":"2026-02-09T13:07:47","date_gmt":"2026-02-09T13:07:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/458206\/"},"modified":"2026-02-09T13:07:47","modified_gmt":"2026-02-09T13:07:47","slug":"childrens-minnesota-to-pause-some-gender-health-care-for-minors-twin-cities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/458206\/","title":{"rendered":"Children\u2019s Minnesota to pause some gender health care for minors \u2013 Twin Cities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Children\u2019s Minnesota hospital says it will pause some gender health services for minors following federal actions on health care.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital network said in a statement Tuesday that there has been an increase of federal actions \u201cdirected at pediatric health systems\u201d such as Children\u2019s, which provides gender-specific care through its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrensmn.org\/services\/care-specialties-departments\/gender-health\/what-to-expect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Gender Health Care Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the recent federal actions was a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twincities.com\/2025\/12\/18\/trump-child-healthcare-ban\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">U.S. Health and Human Services declaration<\/a> in December that called treatments like puberty blockers, hormone therapy and surgeries unsafe and ineffective for children and adolescents experiencing gender dysphoria.
