Jelly Roll won\u2019t be holding onto his Grammy statuette for long.<\/p>\n

After winning three awards at the 68th Annual Grammys, the \u201cI Am Not Okay\u201d singer told Entertainment Tonight<\/a> that one statuette is going to his wife, Bunnie XO, who previously said, \u201cI\u2019m getting one for sure \u2018cause I feel like I earned it.\u201d Another will live in his studio, as he explained, \u201cThat was my dream.\u201d As for the third statuette? It\u2019s heading to Davidson County Sheriff Darren Hall to be put in the local jail in Tennessee.<\/p>\n

His fellow \u201cStar Search\u201d judge Sarah Michelle Gellar jumped in to explain Jelly Roll\u2019s unique decision, saying, \u201cSo people know there\u2019s life after.\u201d The country star nodded in agreement.<\/p>\n

Before becoming an award-winning musician, Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, spent time in and out of jail for various charges and felonies. During his acceptance speech for Best Contemporary Country Album, he thanked both his wife and Jesus for saving his life. \u201cI want to thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my life without you. I would have ended up dead or in jail. I would have killed myself if it wasn’t for you and Jesus. I thank you for that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He went on to explain the inspiration for his album \u201cBeautifully Broken,\u201d saying, \u201cThere was a time in my life, y’all, that I was broken. That’s why I wrote this album. I didn’t think I had a chance, y’all. There was days that I thought the darkest things. I was a horrible human. There was a moment in my life that all I had was a Bible this big, and a radio the same size, and a six-by-eight-foot cell. And I believe that those two things could change my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI believe that music had the power to change my life, and God had the power to change my life.\u201d<\/p>\n
