Just like human children, animals can be super picky about food. When it comes to what they eat, it can be a struggle to get animals to try new snacks or meals, but sometimes they do embrace a new treat.<\/p>\n

The @peppergrassranch Instagram recently shared their decision to introduce Mandarin Oranges to the alpacas, and they had some very interesting responses from the herd. One alpaca named Bake had the cutest reaction to tasting a slice of the orange. As @peppergrassranch described in the video captions, \u201cBake loved it enough to give it a happy shimmy,\u201d and trust me: this video will make your day!<\/p>\n

Bake couldn\u2019t hold in their delight at having this delicious surprise. That adorable shimmy said it all! That\u2019s how you know Bake thought it was good, and people are loving this little taste test.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, man. I wasn\u2019t expecting that first reaction,\u201d wrote @beainkle when talking about Bake\u2019s happy shimmy, and it wasn\u2019t just Bake that caught watchers\u2019 attention.<\/p>\n

\u201cShake and Bake, Macaroni and Cheese? Amazing. No notes,\u201d @charmedandneurotic chimed in, commenting on many of the herds’ sweet names.<\/p>\n

But Bake wasn\u2019t the only alpaca who had an animated reaction to these oranges. In fact, the whole group of them tried a slice, and their actions are just as captivating as their names.<\/p>\n

The second to be offered an orange was Cheddar. \u201cCheddar was not interested,\u201d @peppergrassranch explained in the captions, and Cheddar could not be persuaded otherwise. Well, there\u2019s always one in every bunch!<\/p>\n

Next was Macaroni, who @peppergrassranch said felt pressure from the other alpacas to try it. As you can see in the video, the others were moving in to take a bite out of the orange slice, so Macaroni decided to eat it. You can tell that Macaroni was processing as they chewed, trying to figure out if they liked the orange or not. Spoiler alert: Mac loves oranges!<\/p>\n

Then, there was poor Shake. \u201cShake didn\u2019t have a chance to deny it because Mac stepped in,\u201d @peppergrassranch added. Commenter @robertjohnson904 even joked, \u201cI love how Mac went from \u2018I guess I will try it since you guys are pressuring me\u2019 to \u2018hey you gonna eat that.\u2019<\/p>\n

Last to have a slice was Cheese, and they definitely enjoyed the orange. Macaroni even showed up again to try to poach a slice, and Cheese gave Mac a playful warning growl.<\/p>\n

It looks like Mandarin Oranges are about to be these alpacas\u2019 new favorite snack. Bake, Macaroni, and Cheese all had enthusiastic reactions to the oranges. Now, they just have to get Shake and Cheddar to give oranges a try!<\/p>\n
