An around-the-clock indoor golf facility that opened last summer in Cotati<\/a> recently expanded its array of sports available to play while also increasing its footprint in Sonoma County, opening a second location in Santa Rosa.<\/p>\n

Avid golfer Marc Fischer and his wife Julie launched Golf 20Fore7<\/a> in May 2025 with the goal of helping local golfers improve their skills or simply get some swings in, no matter their schedule.<\/p>\n

Customers are able to reserve an hourly spot online and get a code to enter the Cotati facility at 8125 Gravenstein Highway any time of day to play simulated golf via a projector and screen that displays a virtual course and tracks statistics about the golfer\u2019s swing, the trajectory of the ball and more. Customers who want to play regularly have the option to buy monthly memberships.<\/p>\n

Fischer said in a phone call Feb. 4 that he was \u201cshocked\u201d by the warm welcome the business has received from the community and credited a July Press Democrat article<\/a> about its opening for its success.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince then it\u2019s just gotten better and better every month,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

That success spurred Fischer to expand the business.<\/p>\n

In December, Golf 20Fore7 opened its second location at 397 Aviation Boulevard in Santa Rosa. The new spot, located within a shopping center adjacent to Airport Cinemas, uses the same high-end technology employed at the original facility to offer golfers a chance to practice their game or virtually play world-renowned courses, including Pebble Beach, at three hitting stations.<\/p>\n

Expand<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted it to have a similar feel (to the Cotati location) because when you buy a membership or when you use our facility, I want it to feel the same no matter where you go,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Fischer added that members have access to both facilities and the Santa Rosa location, like Cotati, is available for reservation by the hour and to rent for parties.<\/p>\n

At the Cotati location, a newly completed fourth simulator bay has allowed Fischer to expand the lineup of sport offerings.<\/p>\n

Along with golf, customers can now play quarterback in a football game, pitch in a baseball game, toss a bean bag in a cornhole game, play a round of disc golf or kick a soccer ball.<\/p>\n

The new simulator bay also includes a \u201czombie dodgeball\u201d game where players try to hit their shambling targets\u00a0on screen with a ball and a hunting and quick-draw shooting game in which customers use a wired-up light gun.<\/p>\n

Despite all the changes, the one thing that Fischer has not changed is the price.<\/p>\n

Customers can reserve a hitting bay for up to four hours for $50 per hour. They also have the option to buy a basic membership for $150 per month, with three hours of play time a day included and a $20 guest fee. A premium membership for $200 per month offers the same benefits, except members can get four hours of play time a day and guests do not have to pay a fee.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re trying to be cost conscious for everyone,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In addition to offering a private setting that allows players to work on their golf game without having to go to a public driving range, Fischer said that he has professionals available at both locations to offer lessons or share tips to help people improve and enjoy the sport.<\/p>\n

Fischer also said he\u2019s looking into organizing league play to make friendly competitions out of the experience at the request of some facility members.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve made some really cool friends since opening the place that I never would have crossed paths with,\u201d he said. \u201cMember number one is still a member, we go golf now every once in a while. In general, I can tell the members really support each other, which is fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n
