Country superstar Blake Shelton<\/a> recently called out Luke Bryan<\/a> during one of his Las Vegas residency stops at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.<\/p>\n

In a viral TikTok making headlines, Shelton joked with a fan about Bryan\u2014his longtime friend\u2014and shared some choice words about the “Country Girl Shake It” singer, leaving the audience laughing.<\/p>\n

Blake Shelton announced his return to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in August 2025, exciting fans after teasing an eight-date residency featuring some of his biggest hits.<\/p>\n

In a January 31 TikTok<\/a>, Shelton stopped mid-show after noticing a fan wearing a Bryan t-shirt. In the video, Shelton joked with the concertgoer, giving them a hard time for attending his show wearing merch that featured another artist’s face.<\/p>\n

“What’s the matter with you?” he asked. “That guy’s an idiot.”<\/p>\n

As the show continued, Shelton delivered even more jokes about Bryan, highlighting one of the country legend’s most popular moves. “Luke Bryan. You’ve obviously been to one of his shows, right? You ever notice that he always does the, y’all sing along?” he asked.<\/p>\n

“It’s because he’s too drunk to remember the words to his own songs,” Shelton continued. “Drunk and high. Put that on YouTube. Put it on your Instagram.”<\/p>\n

Shelton’s jabs at Bryan are par for the course, according to TV Insider<\/a>, which shared that “The Voice” alum made a similar comment about Bryan’s music during his “Back To The Honky Tonk Tour” in 2023. During the show, Shelton shared that because he was dealing with throat issues, he’d rely on the audience to sing most of the songs, taking another dig at Bryan along the way.<\/p>\n

“I know what he\u2019s talking about\u2026 \u2018cause I\u2019ve been to Luke Bryan concerts many of times and people are singing every damn word to his songs, but his songs are stupid,” he said. “So when the words go by, you\u2019re not really thinkin\u2019 about it is what I\u2019m trying to say here, you\u2019re just singing. You\u2019re just like \u2018oh yeah, we that rollercoaster.'”<\/p>\n

Luke Bryan Has Sparred With Blake Shelton Before\"Luke<\/p>\n

Bryan didn’t just sit back while Shelton poked at him. While headlining a show at Resorts World in Las Vegas, Bryan performed a cover of Shelton’s song, “Home,” explaining to the audience why he had difficulty remembering the lyrics.<\/p>\n

“Well, that\u2019s a Michael Bubl\u00e8 song that Blake stole,\u201d Bryan said. “I don’t know Blake’s sh-t\u2014y’all sing it.” He added, “I don\u2019t know two Blake Shelton songs\u2026 Oh, what\u2019s a good Blake Shelton song? There isn\u2019t one.”<\/p>\n

Clearly, the ribbing at each other is all fun and games, something fans of both men seem to enjoy.<\/p>\n

“Love you, Blake,” someone commented under the now viral TikTok.<\/p>\n

“I was there! Concert was great, but [Blake’s comments about Luke] was the funniest part of the night,” another wrote.<\/p>\n

“Facts. That happened last time I saw Luke Bryan. He couldn’t remember his words,” a third posted.<\/p>\n

Bryan And Shelton Own Rival Bars In Nashville, Tennessee<\/p>\n

Before Shelton’s most recent comments, his relationship with Bryan surfaced in the headlines when the latter appeared on “The Ty Bentli Show<\/a>” and spoke about the pair’s rival Nashville bars.<\/p>\n

Bryan owns 32 Bridge, while Shelton owns Ole Read.<\/p>\n

“He’s pretend farming,” Bryan said about Shelton’s establishment. “I mean, he\u2019s just putting out like wild grasses \u2014 stuff that literally will grow on Mars. I\u2019m actually planting stuff that human beings can enjoy. I\u2019m not feeding a bunch of rabbits and moles and stuff. Blake\u2019s farming earthworms and stuff.”<\/p>\n

Shelton Is Returning To Las Vegas Again In The Summer Of 2026<\/p>\n

Shelton recently wrapped up his latest Vegas residency after performing at the Colosseum in the years before.<\/p>\n

We had so much fun earlier this year, I figured\u2014why not do it again,” he said, according to an official press release<\/a>. “This time we\u2019re gonna do it more country, with more cocktails, and probably make a few more questionable decisions. Let\u2019s go, Vegas.”<\/p>\n
