While this doesn\u2019t feel like much substance alone, Giant Bomb\u2019s<\/a> Jeff Grubb \u2013 one of the first people to mention this spin-off\u2019s existence \u2013 also had an interesting reaction when discussing the project.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his daily Game Mess Mornings<\/a> show, guest Lex Luddy asked him if he thinks \u201cthe God of War thing will finally show up\u201d. With a wry smile, Grubb responded: \u201cWho could say? I certainly could not.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, there\u2019s not much to go on here really beyond a bunch of teasing and assertions, but stranger things have happened. Shadow drops do tend to get decent momentum, and we daresay a side-scrolling God of War game would attract a lot of interest.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s going to be particularly fascinating about this one is which platforms it\u2019s on. PS5 is a lock, of course, but could Sony also explore the Switch as a target platform for this title, like it did with LEGO Horizon Adventures<\/a>?<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll find out if there\u2019s any truth to any of this in a few days.<\/p>\n
