Entrepreneur, investor and mmadigital<\/a> founder Dez Derry<\/a> has announced his exit as an investor in legal firm Fletchers Group, marking the conclusion of a highly successful three-year partnership.<\/p>\n

During his involvement, Derry played a key role in shaping strategic direction and supporting MA opportunities that helped the business surpass the significant milestone of \u00a3100 million turnover. His investment has delivered three times money-on-money (3x MOM) and a 53% internal rate of return (IRR), reflecting both strong capital growth and a rapid investment cycle.<\/p>\n

Derry said: \u201cIt\u2019s been great working with the team, shaping the strategy and helping identify M&A opportunities. I wish the new management team all the best as they continue to drive the business forward. It\u2019s been a privilege to be involved in their trajectory over the last three years and to witness them break through the \u00a3100 million turnover milestone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Derry\u2019s decision to exit follows a period of reflection and public engagement, during which he has spoken candidly about his childhood experiences and entrepreneurial journey during various appearances, including on ITV and the BBC.<\/p>\n

His next chapter will see him focus more closely on two areas he\u2019s deeply passionate about:<\/p>\n

Supporting charity Adoption Matters, using his own story to raise awareness and inspire others.<\/p>\n

Investing in the global electronic dance music space, identifying and supporting young talent from underprivileged backgrounds to access opportunities in music, entertainment and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been lucky enough to travel and experience incredible events, festivals and emerging talent,\u201d Derry added. \u201cI meet a lot of young people trying to break through from similar backgrounds to mine, often facing real challenges. There were no Asian DJs when I was growing up in the 80s \u2013 that\u2019s changing fast, and I want to be part of that change by helping young talent find their platform.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alongside these pursuits, Dez will continue to build his investment portfolio, which currently includes stakes in LeBlanq, Travel Seen, and Fight Division.
