Compared with the CBO&#8217;s analysis this time last year, the fiscal outlook has deteriorated modestly, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newser.com\/article\/45a61cb88eb6083a6e18389d19320c8a\/cbo-federal-deficits-and-debt-to-worsen-over-next-decade.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AP<\/a> reports. <\/p>\n<p>  Major developments over the last year are factored into the latest report, released Wednesday, including Republicans&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newser.com\/story\/369730\/cbo-budget-bill-cuts-taxes-by-37t-adds-24t-to-deficit.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tax and spending measure<\/a> known as the &#8220;One Big Beautiful Bill Act,&#8221; higher tariffs, and the Trump administration&#8217;s crackdown on immigration, which includes deporting millions of immigrants. The CBO said the mass deportations increased deficit projections by $500 billion due to the reduction in the labor force, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/business\/2026\/02\/11\/gop-tax-law-deficit-costs-cbo\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Washington Post<\/a> reports.
