\n\tKrysten Ritter<\/a> is remembering her Don\u2019t Trust the B\u2014 in Apartment 23 co-star, James Van Der Beek<\/a>, following news of his death.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Van Der Beek was famously known for his breakout role in Dawson\u2019s Creek, his role in the ABC sitcom was equally remembered by fans mourning his loss.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cReally hard news today,\u201d Ritter posted on Instagram along with a photo of Van Der Beek.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBeautiful human inside and out. Smart, funny, empathic, kind, talented and just pure magic,\u201d Ritter added in a second Instagram Story post. \u201cI\u2019m so grateful for our friendship and so heartbroken. All my love goes out to his amazing wife Kimberly and their children.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tRitter ended her tribute with a photo of them on the set of the sitcom and added, \u201cLove you so much, James and fake James.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Don\u2019t Trust the B*** in Apt. 23, Van Der Beek played a parody version of himself. The short-lived sitcom premiered in 2012 and lasted for two seasons on ABC.<\/p>\n

\n\tVan Der Beek died on Wednesday, February 11<\/a>, at the age of 48 after a long battle with colorectal cancer.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOur beloved James David Van Der Beek passed peacefully this morning,\u201d the family wrote on Instagram. \u201cHe met his final days with courage, faith, and grace. There is much to share regarding his wishes, love for humanity and the sacredness of time. Those days will come. For now we ask for peaceful privacy as we grieve our loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend.\u201d<\/p>\n
