The Boston Red Sox could see Tanner Houck return to the team at some point this season.<\/p>\n
Houck was an All-Star in 2024, but he has since dealt with injuries. On August 18, Houck underwent hybrid reconstruction of his right\u00a0UCL\u00a0with a\u00a0flexor tendon\u00a0repair, as he was done for the season.<\/p>\n
Entering spring training, Houck is still rehabbing, but the right-hander is set to begin throwing next week, according to Red Sox reporter Gabrielle Starr of The Boston Herald.<\/p>\n

However, the focus for Houck right now is on his rehab, with the outside chance of him getting back for the stretch run.<\/p>\n Houck went 0-3 with an 8.04 ERA in nine starts last season before his injury. In 2024, when he was an All-Star, he was 9-10 with a 3.12 ERA in 30 starts.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Yet, Boston did address their rotation this offseason, as the Red Sox traded for Sonny Gray and Johan Oviedo and signed Ranger Suarez.
