Roy Keane<\/a> is one of the few people who backed the striker at the start, and he is still in support of him.<\/p>\n How do you RATE Viktor Gyokeres\u2019 first season at Arsenal so far\u2026 \ud83d\udc40 <\/p>\n There was a lot of debate over whether Viktor Gyokeres<\/a> was the right man for Arsenal early on in his Gunners career. <\/p>\n The Sweden international didn\u2019t do much in his debut against Manchester United on the opening day of the new Premier League season, but he scored a brace in the very next fixture. <\/p>\n A week or so after that, Keane claimed that Gyokeres will be a \u2018hit\u2019 for Arsenal<\/a>, which raised eyebrows as many people disagreed. <\/p>\n Fast forward five months, and Gyokeres has scored 13 goals in 32 games, which is more than what Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp managed<\/a> in the same period. <\/p>\n That puts Gyokeres on track to score 20 goals, which was what Keane predicted<\/a> several months ago.<\/p>\n The Manchester United legend was quizzed about the Swede again this week, and he doubled down on his previous claim.<\/p>\n He said on the Stick to Football podcast<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m going to say he\u2019s doing what he\u2019s supposed to do with Arsenal. <\/p>\n \u201cI think a hit, by the end of the season, the goals he\u2019ll get. I\u2019m going to give him a hit.\u201d<\/p>\n Gary Neville<\/a>, Jamie Carragher and even Ian Wright<\/a> refused to call Gyokeres a \u2018hit\u2019. They placed him in the \u2018maybe\u2019 category. <\/p>\n Viktor Gyokeres at Arsenal, underappreciated or underwhelming? <\/p>\n It\u2019s never easy for a forward to join a club and hit the ground running in England.<\/p>\n In the entire Premier League<\/a> era, only two players have managed to score more than 20 goals in their debut season for Arsenal.<\/p>\n Wright was the first one to do it in 1991\/92, when he netted 26 goals in all competitions. Alexis Sanchez<\/a> was the next and last player to do so in the 2014\/15 season.
