It\u2019s been a great season<\/a> for the Boston Celtics, including Jaylen Brown.<\/p>\n

The Celtics head into the NBA All-Star Break with the second-best record in the Eastern Conference at 35-19. They also rank second in the NBA in points per game allowed, second in offensive rating and third in net rating.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Brown is having a fantastic season in Jayson Tatum\u2019s absence. He\u2019s emerged as an MVP candidate amid the best year of his career and will start the NBA All-Star Game<\/a> on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Boston is surging, too, winning six of its last seven games after blowing out the Chicago Bulls at home on Wednesday night. After ending the first half on a high note<\/a>, Brown is proud of what the team has accomplished so far and is excited to see what it can do in the second half.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m proud of this group and staff\/ office looking forward to 2nd half go Cs,\u201d Brown posted on his X account<\/a> on Thursday night, accompanied by a graphic comparing the Celtics\u2019 performance at the All-Star Break this year compared to last year.<\/p>\n

Shockingly, the numbers are eerily similar despite Boston\u2019s major roster turnover since then. The Celtics are a totally different team now after losing Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, Al Horford and Luke Kornet over the offseason, not to mention Tatum to injury.<\/p>\n

And yet, Boston is still second in the East and third in net rating at the break, just like last year.<\/p>\n

The Celtics\u2019 remarkable consistency is due to several factors, including Brown\u2019s stellar year, his teammates stepping up and Joe Mazzulla\u2019s terrific coaching. Boston has persevered in the face of adversity this season, bringing the energy and intensity<\/a> every night and usually finding a way to win.<\/p>\n

The Celtics rebound well, shoot a lot of 3-pointers, play hard on defense and take care of the basketball. That\u2019s been a recipe for success this season, and it may be even more effective after the All-Star Break if Tatum returns soon<\/a>.<\/p>\n
