{"id":46923,"date":"2025-07-30T06:48:08","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T06:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/46923\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T06:48:08","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T06:48:08","slug":"ex-nhs-manager-in-swindon-awarded-24000-for-unfair-dismissal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/46923\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-NHS manager in Swindon awarded \u00a324,000 for unfair dismissal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A former NHS manager who was awarded nearly \u00a324,000 in compensation for unfair dismissal has won his latest legal battle against a hospital trust.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Mark Hemphill, who was having chemotherapy while working as a health and safety manager, had been struggling with responsibilities that were not outlined in his contract with Swindon&#8217;s Great Western Hospital, an employment tribunal in 2024 found.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The judge ruled Mr Hemphill had also been subject to &#8220;brutal and bullying&#8221; conduct under the then head of the hospital&#8217;s trust, Kevin McNamara.
