Around 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, deputies with the Buncombe County Sheriff&#8217;s Office responded to Appian Way near Royal Pines Drive regarding a breaking and entering in progress.Deputies reported a large law enforcement presence as the special response team and crisis negotiation team were brought in as a precaution.Around 3:30 p.m., authorities asked people to avoid the area if possible.Just before 5 p.m., deputies said the home was cleared. The suspect has been identified as Nicholas D.J. Ivers.Deputies said Ivers has multiple active warrants for the following charges:Felony assault by strangulationFelony possession Schedule IMisdemeanor assault on a female Domestic violenceIvers is believed to be armed and dangerous.
