January Jones<\/a> stepped out on the red carpet in Southern California<\/a> on Saturday in a rare public appearance with her 13-year-old son, Xander Dane Jones.<\/p>\n

The Mad Men actress, 47, was seen in Laguna Beach, California with her teenage son at Oceana’s 18th Annual SeaChange Summer Party on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The Sioux Falls, South Dakota-born actress looked stunning as she walked the red carpet in a black midi dress with black heels, and her blonde locks down and parted.<\/p>\n

The Emmy-nominated star, who played Betty Draper on Mad Men, accessorized with gold hoop earrings and a black headband at the environmental fundraiser.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her son\u00a0Xander wore a summery ensemble of an off-white button-down top with\u00a0 off white pants and black Adidas sneakers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The God Is a Bullet has not publicly stated who Xander’s father is, telling The New York Times<\/a> in 2013, ‘That’s my son’s business. It’s not the public’s business.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

January told the publication Red<\/a> in September of 2017 that Xander has a number of strong male role models in his life.<\/p>\n

‘Xander has a lot of bro time with the neighbor dads and my dad, who is super young,’ she explained.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The star continued: ‘It’s good to have strong women around a man to teach him to respect women.<\/p>\n

‘He doesn’t have a male person saying, ‘Don’t cry’ or ‘You throw like a girl.’ All those s****y things that dads accidentally do.’<\/p>\n

The Last Man on Earth actress – who formerly dated actor Ashton Kutcher<\/a>\u00a0– said at the time she felt zero pressure to provide a stepdad for her son.<\/p>\n

She told the outlet, ‘I just don’t feel I need a partner.’<\/p>\n

The two-time Golden Globe nominee added, ‘Do I want one? Maybe.\u00a0But I don’t feel unhappy or lonely – it would have to be someone so amazing that I would want to make room.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Someone who would contribute to my happiness and not take away from it.’<\/p>\n

Saturday’s event was hosted by veteran actor Sam Waterston, 84.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actor is best known for having played the iconic TV role of prosecutor Jack McCoy on more than 405 episodes of Law & Order spanning three decades.<\/p>\n

The organization was able to raise in excess of $1.7 million toward its objectives of protecting the waters.<\/p>\n

She added, ‘Sharks are my 2nd favorite animal. They’re iconic, powerful, and essential to the health of our oceans. But they’re also under threat.<\/p>\n

‘That’s why I’ve been a longtime supporter of @oceana who campaigns to protect sharks and keep our oceans healthy.’<\/p>\n
