Another year, another new NBA\u00a0All-Star\u00a0Game\u00a0format.\u00a0But\u00a0could this\u00a0one\u00a0be different?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
In its 75th edition,\u00a0the league has pitted the United States against the\u00a0rest of the\u00a0world, young versus old,\u00a0in an effort to\u00a0draw out the competitive juices that\u00a0the annual\u00a0showcase has\u00a0severely lacked in recent years.<\/p>\n
The teams are as follows: Team USA Stars, the youngest cohort of American players; Team USA Stripes, the older contingent; and Team World,\u00a0comprised\u00a0of international players.\u00a0See full rosters in the\u00a0blog\u00a0below.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The three squads will play a round-robin mini tournament consisting of four 12-minute games. Tipoff is Sunday at 5 p.m. ET \/ 2 p.m. PT (on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+) in Inglewood, Calif.<\/p>\n
Each team will play the other two teams once, and the top two squads will advance to the final. (If all three teams finish 1-1, it will go to\u00a0a\u00a0point differential\u00a0tiebreaker.)\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
