posted a video<\/a> to his social media accounts about how he received a letter from the hospital notifying him of a data breach. <\/p>\nThe letter notified Josh, also known as \u201cJosh From England\u201d online, that it recently discovered that hospital employees had wrongly accessed his medical records. He didn\u2019t release the name of the hospital.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe recently learned that on January 18-19, 2026, several [name of the hospital] employees accessed your electronic health record without a work-related reason for doing so,\u201d Josh said as he read the letter. <\/p>\n
The social media star said this worries him. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe fact there\u2019s people out there now who know my personal address, and I keep parts of my life very private,\u201d Josh said in the video. \u201cThey know where I live. They know a lot of information about me, without my permission.\u201d <\/p>\n
He then requested that people not take advantage of their roles at work, especially if it involves his personal information. <\/p>\n
In addition, he also shared the following comment under his post, in which he said hospital staff were asking for selfies while he was receiving treatment at the hospital. <\/p>\n
\u201cLet me be clear and I\u2019ll speak with facts – This was unique to me,\u201d Josh wrote in the comment. \u201cStaff members were entering the room I was in whilst receiving treatment and asking for selfies (there are witnesses to this) whilst I was under medication and in pain and I\u2019ve kept quiet about this but to learn employees have accessed my personal private information for their own knowledge, is not okay. They also explained to me they had taken my name off of the notice board to keep things lowkey. The word got around. I am all for meeting fans and being polite and will never turn down meeting someone, however lines and boundaries have been crossed and it comes to a time where I need to take a stance.\u201d<\/p>\n
As of Thursday afternoon, Josh\u2019s Facebook video about the letter has over 5 million views, while the Instagram video has nearly 900,000 views, and the TikTok video has nearly 500,000 views. <\/p>\n
