\n\tDespite his resignation from Twisted Sister<\/a> due to \u201chealth challenges<\/a>,\u201d Dee Snider<\/a> wants fans to know the situation is not that dire. <\/p>\n

\n\tAfter the hair metal band canceled their 50th anniversary tour<\/a> amid the lead vocalist\u2019s exit, Snider clarified that he\u2019s \u201cnot dying\u201d but decided the rockstar life was too physical for him at age 70. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not dying!\u201d he declared on his House of Hair<\/a> radio show. \u201cNo, not never; I mean, we\u2019re all dying, but not immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSnider added, \u201cMy announcement about canceling the tour for health<\/a> reasons, problems with my heart, arthritis, things like that, the rumors have run wild that I am on my death bed. I am not. I just can\u2019t do those things that I did in my 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and even 60s. Alright? Otherwise I\u2019m alive and well. I\u2019m enjoying life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNoting he\u2019s still hosting the radio show, directing a movie and writing, Snider said, \u201cYou won\u2019t see me on the stage kicking ass like I used to, because that will mess me up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSnider said he was asked to \u201cjust go out on stage and lay back,\u201d which didn\u2019t feel right. \u201cSo, had to pull out of Twisted Sister, had to cancel the tour, my apologies for that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd thank you for all the love and care and worry and all that stuff. It was crazy the amount of people, the outpouring was beautiful, thank you very much for cheering me on,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019m okay, I just can\u2019t do that anymore.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe truth of the matter is, I don\u2019t want you to see me up there being less than you expect me to be. You got memories of the great shows that I did, that\u2019s what I want to leave you with. Not me standing up there like Willie Nelson\u2014nothing wrong with Willie, 95 years old, in a wheelchair\u2014but you know what I\u2019m saying. I went out rockin\u2019, I\u2019m still rockin\u2019 here, I ain\u2019t stopping. I got a lot of life to live. My dad is 95 and still kicking, so I\u2019m expecting to be around for a long time,\u201d said Dee, adding, \u201cDon\u2019t worry about old Dee. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLast weekend, Twisted Sister announced they were canceling the Twisted Forever, Forever Twisted 50th anniversary tour<\/a> amid Snider\u2019s \u201csudden and unexpected\u201d resignation following \u201ca series of health challenges.\u201d<\/p>\n
