{"id":471904,"date":"2026-02-16T11:59:11","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T11:59:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/471904\/"},"modified":"2026-02-16T11:59:11","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T11:59:11","slug":"u-s-clinches-three-medals-at-2026-riga-amber-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/471904\/","title":{"rendered":"U.S. Clinches Three Medals at 2026 Riga Amber Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n                            By: Abby Farrell&#13;\n                        <\/p>\n<p>                    &#13;<br \/>\n                        Story Links&#13;<br \/>\n                        &#13;<\/p>\n<p>                     The United States secured three spots on the podium at the 2026 Riga Amber Cup this past weekend as the <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-skyliners\/1275\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1275\" target=\"_blank\">Skyliners<\/a> took home bronze in the senior event and the <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-lexettes\/1271\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1271\" target=\"_blank\">Lexettes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-dc-edge\/1266\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1266\" target=\"_blank\">DC EDGE<\/a> stood on the podium as silver and bronze medalists, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-skyliners\/1275\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1275\" target=\"_blank\">Skyliners<\/a> medaled for the second time this season after earning bronze at their Challenger Series assignment \u2014 2026 Lumiere Cup \u2014 last month.<\/p>\n<p>The reigning World Junior bronze medalists opened the competition with a beautiful lose control-themed short program that garnered Level 4 marks on every element. Three of their elements produced more than nine points, including their intersection worth 9.75 points en route to a season&#8217;s best segment score of 75.90.<\/p>\n<p>Skating to a winner-takes-it-all theme in the free skate, the <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-skyliners\/1275\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1275\" target=\"_blank\">Skyliners<\/a> embraced that mindset with another solid performance. The 10-time U.S. medalists achieved Level 4 distinctions on seven elements. At 10.40 points, their group lift was the second highest-scoring element of the event.<\/p>\n<p>They concluded with season&#8217;s best free skate and total scores of 141.97 and 217.87, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>In the junior event, the <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-lexettes\/1271\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1271\" target=\"_blank\">Lexettes<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-dc-edge\/1266\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1266\" target=\"_blank\">DC EDGE<\/a> \u00a0have finished on the podium at every event they have competed in so far this season, and the streak continued in Latvia.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-lexettes\/1271\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1271\" target=\"_blank\">Lexettes<\/a> took silver with 185.12 points in total.<\/p>\n<p>The reigning U.S. junior bronze medalists&#8217; 64.97-point short program to &#8220;Black Book&#8221; by Ori earned Level 4s on their move element, twizzle element intersection and no hold element. They experienced two falls on their pivoting block.<\/p>\n<p>Their opening move element earned a program-high 9.10 points.<\/p>\n<p>In the free skate, the team that trains in Norwood, Massachusetts, opened its performance to &#8220;The Four Seasons&#8221; by Antonio Vivaldi with a Level 4 synchronized spin that generated 9.10 points and went on to earn Level 4 distinctions on their intersection and traveling element. Their intersection racked up nearly 10 points for a segment score of 120.15.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-dc-edge\/1266\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1266\" target=\"_blank\">DC EDGE<\/a> delivered season&#8217;s best scores in every event segment.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-dc-edge\/1266\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1266\" target=\"_blank\">DC EDGE&#8217;s<\/a> short program to &#8220;A Million Dreams&#8221; by P!nk was their Level 4 twizzle element that received 8.40 points. Their next element, a Level 4 intersection with a Level 3 point of intersection, contributed 8.23 points to a segment score of 59.75.<\/p>\n<p>Skating to music from\u00a0La La Land in the free skate, <a href=\"https:\/\/usfigureskating.org\/sports\/synchronized-skating\/roster\/-nbsp-dc-edge\/1266\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"1266\" target=\"_blank\">DC EDGE<\/a> generated Level 4s on their synchronized spin and traveling element.\u00a0 The team earned their highest points in the segment for their Level 4 intersection with a Level 3 point of intersection, which added 8.40 points to their free skate score of 101.87.<\/p>\n<p>They finished with 161.62 points.<\/p>\n<p>To view full results, click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/results.vidata.pl\/AmberCup2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
