\u201cHowever, supply-side dynamics could temper that seasonal pressure. If OPEC+ proceeds with resuming production increases following its first-quarter pause, additional barrels could cap crude oil\u2019s upside and limit the magnitude of the spring rally at the pump,\u201d De Haan said. \u201cThat said, geopolitical tensions\u2014particularly between the U.S. and Iran\u2014remain an unpredictable variable, injecting risk into the outlook and leaving prices vulnerable to sudden shifts.\u201d<\/p>\n
The national average price of a gallon of gas was still lower than $3 but had risen by 2.6 cents in the past week, sitting at $2.87 as of Monday. That is up by 4.9 cents per gallon from a month ago and down by 23.5 cents per gallon from a year ago.<\/p>\n
As for diesel costs, there was little change, with the average national price increasing by one cent over the last week. It currently stands at $3.624 per gallon.<\/p>\n
