Model Apple Martin, 21, opened up about her journey with acne\u2014and how her mother, Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a>, tried to help.<\/p>\n

Martin, who is the daughter of Paltrow, 53, and Coldplay singer Chris Martin<\/a>, 48, walked viewers through her routine in a Vogue<\/a> \u201cBeauty Secrets\u201d video posted on Friday.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I\u2019m 21,\u201d Martin said. \u201cI know I still have a little bit of blemishes and such, but it was really bad in high school.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, my acne was not like crazy, crazy, but it definitely affected my self-esteem,\u201d she admitted. \u201cLuckily, the worst it got was during COVID, so I could kind of, like, hide it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Living with acne gave Martin a new outlook.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow, I\u2019m just kind of like, I\u2019m human, like what am I gonna do? If I have a pimple, it\u2019s not the end of my life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Paltrow, being the helpful mother and organic skincare<\/a> enthusiast that she is, offered guidance to her beloved daughter.<\/p>\n

Martin said, \u201cMy mom definitely gave me advice and, like, God bless her, she would ask all of her Supergoop-y people about ike where I should go visit. I went to the dermatologist a million times.\u201d<\/p>\n

Martin found no miracle cures\u2014which makes sense, as acne can be famously frustrating to treat\u2014but shared some of her tried-and-true tips.<\/p>\n

She explained, \u201cYou find a good chill skincare routine and like drink a lot of water. And honestly, the more that you stress about it, the worse it\u2019ll get, most likely,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Pointing at her forehead, Martin added, \u201cThis is all stress.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I think that everyone is still [gorgeous],\u201d Martin said. \u201cAnd if you wake up, and then you have a new pimple, just be like, \u2018All right, that\u2019s what today\u2019s gonna be like.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
