Two new executive golf courses in Eastport have officially opened to residents of The Villages.<\/p>\n

Villagers can now secure their spots at two of the community\u2019s newest golf offerings as tee times have officially opened for the Honeysuckle and Beautyberry executive golf courses.<\/p>\n

Both courses are scheduled to celebrate their grand openings on Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7600 Busche Boulevard, in the rapidly developing Eastport area.<\/p>\n

These additions bring 18 new holes to the district\u2019s executive golf portfolio, which includes over four dozen courses.<\/p>\n

Honeysuckle is designed as a par-28 course featuring one par-4 hole. It is characterized by smooth, scenic routing and generous fairways complemented by strategic bunkers. The design emphasizes natural landscaping to create an immersive environment for golfers.<\/p>\n

Beautyberry offers a slightly different experience as a par-29 course with two par-4 holes. Golfers will encounter rolling fairways, slight elevation changes, and a layout that encourages dynamic shot-making while remaining welcoming to various skill levels, according to a statement issued by The Villages.<\/p>\n

Reservations for both Eastport courses are being managed through the standard Automated Tee Time System. Residents can book their rounds by calling 352-753-GOLF (4653) or online at Golf The Villages<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The booking process follows the community\u2019s established three-tier system. Residents can submit a tee time request four to seven days in advance. For those looking at a shorter window, available times can be secured through the reservation system one to three days before play.<\/p>\n

Finally, golfers seeking a last-minute round can call the starter building for day-of openings.<\/p>\n

The opening of Honeysuckle and Beautyberry marks a significant milestone for recreation in the southern portion of the community as the Eastport area continues to expand its amenities and commercial offerings.<\/p>\n

Last month, Sumter County commissioners approved an amendment to a regional road agreement that calls for The Villages to pay $27 million to widen Central Parkway to U.S. 301<\/a>. That road is a key connection for the Middleton and Eastport areas.<\/p>\n

In December, Hotel Eastport celebrated its ribbon-cutting.<\/a> In the weeks leading up to that opening, Villages-News.com reported that Found for Home<\/a>, Mia Sorella<\/a>, Peach Valley Caf\u00e9,<\/a> and Oak & Stone<\/a> are all working on new locations in Eastport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Over the summer, Villages-News.com also reported that Tacos & Tequila Cantina<\/a> will open a new Tex-Mex cuisine restaurant at the town center this year.<\/p>\n
