OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – One person is in custody after an incident Tuesday morning in Omaha.<\/p>\n
Police officers were seen at Benson Tower, near 60th Street and Northwest Radial Highway, shortly before 8:20 a.m. Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Lt. Ryan Hinsley of the Omaha Police Department told First Alert 6 that the incident began with a traffic stop near 65th and Boyd streets.<\/p>\n
Hinsley said the person in the vehicle drove away, and Able-1, OPD\u2019s helicopter, later spotted the vehicle at the apartments.<\/p>\n
Officers went into the building and found the suspect, according to Hinsley. The suspect was taken into custody.<\/p>\n
Officers are still on the scene, investigating whether the person discarded any illegal evidence, OPD said. First Alert 6 is told the person was charged with flight to avoid arrest.<\/p>\n
