Amad Diallo has hailed Michael Carrick for having a massively positive impact on Manchester United since returning as head coach in January.<\/p>\n

Michael Carrick<\/a> has taken charge of five matches since being appointed Manchester United head coach<\/a> until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

The Red Devils won the first four matches as Carrick surpassed Ruben Amorim\u2019s<\/a> longest winning run as United head coach (three matches). Last time out, United drew 1-1 against West Ham<\/a>, but the point was enough to remain in the Premier League\u2019s<\/a> top four.<\/p>\n

United travel to Everton on Monday night looking to get back to winning ways, but it bodes well that the mood in the dressing room has improved since Carrick\u2019s arrival.<\/p>\n

Team morale can change quickly as it\u2019s massively dependent on results, which is why Carrick will be urging his players to back up their strongest performances under him when they take on David Moyes\u2019<\/a> side.<\/p>\n

Several United first-team players have sung Carrick\u2019s praise in recent weeks, including Lisandro Martinez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unsurprisingly, Martinez\u2019s feelings towards Carrick are now being echoed by some of the World Cup<\/a>-winners\u2019 teammates.<\/p>\n

Amad<\/a> is the latest member of the United squad to hail Carrick following his bright start as head coach at Old Trafford<\/a>, despite previously enjoying a promising three-game run as interim manager in 2019.<\/p>\n

Carrick has had a positive impact on most of the players in the squad, especially those playing regularly and contributing to big wins over Man City, Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham.<\/p>\n

On the latest episode of the Inside Carrington podcast, Amad explained how Carrick has been quick to make a difference at United, knowing him initially from his time as part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer\u2019s<\/a> backroom staff.<\/p>\n

Amad believes that it helps that Carrick knows the club, having represented it as a player and coach in the past, adding to the theory that he was an appointment that came with \u2018United DNA\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think having Michael Carrick as head coach in the team is very important because he knows the club,\u201d Amad said, as quoted by ManUtd.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s the main man who can tell us [about] the club we are playing for.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore the games he keeps telling us: you guys, you are playing for yourself, but you\u2019re playing also for the fans, and he\u2019s telling us the fans are very important for us.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are also playing for the fans because we want to win and we want to give them something back.<\/p>\n

\u201cHaving Carrick is very enjoyable and we enjoy the training. He\u2019s a nice guy. He talks with everyone and I\u2019m so lucky because I know him already \u2013 he was here when I arrived, when I was 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also played against him when he was in the Championship, so I know him since a long time and he\u2019s a nice guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amad spent the 2022\/23 season on loan with Sunderland in the Championship, where he impressed and played against Carrick\u2019s Middlesbrough side.<\/p>\n

The Black Cats made the play-offs that season but missed out on promotion to the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Amad Diallo record against Everton<\/p>\n

Amad remains a regular in the team under Carrick, so the Ivory Coast international is likely to make his third Premier League appearance against Everton on Monday night.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old has beaten Everton on one occasion, losing the other game, but he has registered two goal contributions against the Toffees.<\/p>\n

Monday night\u2019s game will be Amad\u2019s first time playing at Everton\u2019s new Hill Dickinson Stadium. <\/p>\n

Amad will be looking for his second win and first goal against David Moyes\u2019<\/a> side.<\/p>\n
