Dacoda Nichole Jones, the ex-girlfriend of Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, is accusing the Super Bowl champ of choking, strangling, scratching, hitting and headbutting her between December 2023 and July 2025, according to a lawsuit filed this week in Dallas that was obtained by TMZ Sports<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cRashee Rice continued to repeatedly [assault] Dacoda Jones over the course of their relationship,\u201d the lawsuit states.<\/p>\n

Jones, who has two children with Rice, alleges most of the abuse occurred while she was pregnant, enduring \u201cbleeding, swelling, bruising, and other pain and physical injury to her neck, face, mouth, arms, legs, chest, and shoulder.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones alleges \u201cother violent and abusive behaviors\u201d occurred, including Rice throwing things at her, \u201cpunching walls and breaking furniture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones is seeking more than $1 million, although the lawsuit did not specify an exact amount.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club is aware & remains in communication with the National Football League,\u201d the Chiefs said<\/a> in a statement. <\/p>\n

The lawsuit comes after Jones\u00a0claimed in an Instagram post\u00a0last month that she \u201cdealt with abuse for years,\u201d and that following the breakup between \u201cme and this man\u201d a couple of months ago, she has been dealing with \u201cnothing but hell.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her Instagram now appears to be deleted. <\/p>\n

Jones, who did not name her alleged abuser,\u00a0included multiple photos of bruises and scratches on her face and body. <\/p>\n

In the since-deleted post, Jones alleged that her abuser damaged her property, locked her outside in the cold while she was pregnant and abandoned her and her kids in Kansas.<\/p>\n

She added that she\u2019s \u201cso tired of protecting his image\u201d and that \u201cit\u2019s time to protect my peace, protect my children and stand up for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0NFL launched an investigation\u00a0into Rice for potential violations of the league\u2019s Personal Conduct Policy after the allegations were made public. It is reportedly still active.<\/p>\n

Rice made his relationship with model Rubi Rose Instagram official on Saturday. <\/p>\n

In a separate off-the-field incident, Rice\u00a0pleaded guilty to charges<\/a>\u00a0for his role in a high-speed multi-vehicle crash in Dallas that injured several people during the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

He was sentenced to five years of deferred probation and 30 days in Dallas County Jail, which he must complete during his probation window.<\/p>\n
