\n\tThis summer, Alan Cumming<\/a> is preparing to reprise his role as Sandy Frink for the reunion of all reunions.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 2x Golden Globe nominee recently gave a filming update for the upcoming sequel to Romy & Michele\u2019s High School Reunion (1997), in which he is set to reunite with co-stars Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAnd then, this summer, we\u2019re going to do the sequel of Romy & Michele\u2019s High School Reunion,\u201d said Cumming on the Jennifer Hudson Show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn January 2025, Deadline reported that Kudrow and Sorvino were in final negotiations<\/a> to reprise their roles as the eponymous characters of two lifelong best friends who return to their Tucson high school for their 10-year reunion to show their high school bullies how much better their lives are now.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actresses will also executive produce, with Tim Federle attached to direct. Original scribe Robin Schiff returned to pen the sequel.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year, Kudrow revealed that Schiff had turned in a \u201creally good\u201d script for the followup, on which they were close as we\u2019ve ever been,\u201d adding: \u201cSo it\u2019ll happen, I mean, we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n
