Savannah Guthrie is probably never returning to the \u201cToday\u201d show after her mother Nancy\u2019s heartbreaking disappearance<\/a>, according to a new report.<\/p>\n

The \u201cToday\u201d anchor has not appeared on the NBC morning show since Feb. 1, when Nancy was reported missing. Multiple TV veterans told Status News<\/a> that it\u2019s doubtful she\u2019ll ever return.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no way Savannah\u2019s coming back,\u201d one source told the outlet. \u201cI can\u2019t imagine she would even want to.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Page Six is told there\u2019s no way one can definitively say Savannah won\u2019t be coming back at all, as she is currently focused on her mom and not her work.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, another TV exec noted Savannah\u2019s importance to the iconic morning show, telling the outlet, \u201cIf you could pick one person across the span of morning TV that a show would not want to lose, it would be Savannah.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSavannah was always the glue on that show, and without that, this whole paradigm of our morning anchor team as a family, that connective tissue has just been ripped out,\u201d the source continued.<\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s former co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, returned to the \u201cToday\u201d show<\/a> to fill in during the Guthrie family tragedy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kotb\u00a0exited NBC<\/a>\u00a0in January 2025 after\u00a026 years with the network<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Page Six has learned Hoda will be back again next week. While there\u2019s no plan to keep her for the foreseeable future, execs are going to take the situation week by week.<\/p>\n

Sources previously told Page Six that Savannah will remain off the \u201cToday\u201d show for the \u201cforeseeable future\u201d<\/a>\u00a0amid the desperate hunt for her mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe entire show and network is rallying together in support of our beloved colleague and friend as we navigate this unimaginable time,\u201d an NBC source told Page Six.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Savannah, 54, has been a co-anchor on \u201cToday\u201d since July 2012.<\/p>\n

Page Six was told in October 2024 that she had well more than a year left on her $7 million a year deal, which means her contract is coming up for renewal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone at \u2018Today\u2019 is taking this day by day, and of course giving Savannah the grace, time and support she needs,\u201d one source told us.<\/p>\n

There has still been no suspect named in Nancy\u2019s disappearance, despite Savannah and her siblings Annie and Camron\u2019s desperate pleas to bring their 84-year-old mother home<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s latest plea came on Sunday, when she told the suspected kidnapper that it was \u201cnever too late to do the right thing.\u201d Instagram \/ Savannah Guthrie<\/p>\n

Savannah\u2019s friends expressed their concern for her<\/a> with Page Six on Monday, following Savannah\u2019s latest plea to Nancy\u2019s suspected kidnapper<\/a> that it was \u201cnever too late to do the right thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cShe looks devastated. She looks like she\u2019s struggling,\u201d one source told us. \u201cShe can\u2019t be doing well.\u201d<\/p>\n
