Hollywood is mourning the loss of Eric Dane<\/a>, who died on February 19 at the age of 53. Alyssa Milano<\/a>, who starred alongside Dane in Charmed<\/a>, remembered her time on set with him and how enchanted she was working with Dane. \u201cI can\u2019t stop seeing that spark in Eric\u2019s eye right before he\u2019d say something that would either make you spit out your drink or rethink your entire perspective,\u201d she began<\/a>. \u201cHe had a razor-sharp sense of humor. He loved the absurdity of things. He loved catching people off guard.\u201d Dane joined the cast in season five as Jason Dean, who works with and dates Milano\u2019s character Phoebe. Eric was more than a supporter of our mission\u2014he was part of our family. His impact will live on in the research being funded, the policies being advanced, and the community he helped grow by his honesty, his bravery, and his belief in a better future for anyone struggling with this diagnosis.<\/p>\n We honor Eric by continuing the work he believed in so deeply: mobilizing communities, driving critical research, securing essential funding, and fighting relentlessly for real solutions.<\/p>\n Our thoughts are with his loved ones and our entire community.
