Linda Thompson<\/a> stepped out in support of the new Elvis Presley<\/a>concert film.<\/p>\n

The songwriter and former actress\u2014who dated the King of Rock and Roll<\/a> for over four years during the ’70s\u2014was in attendance for the premiere of Baz Luhrmann<\/a>‘s highly-anticipated new film, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert.<\/p>\n

Thompson, 75, hit the red carpet at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, Calif., on Wednesday<\/a>, Feb. 18, while dressed in a stylish black midi dress that was completely covered in sequins.<\/p>\n

Her sparkling dress featured an off-the-shoulder neckline and a long sleeve on one side. Thompson made the already-dazzling look pop even more by adding a pair of cheetah-print heels and a matching handbag with the same pattern.<\/p>\n

Thompson dated Presley for four years between 1972 and 1976, following his split from ex-wife Priscilla Presley<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Thompson opened up about her relationship with Presley in her 2016 memoir,\u00a0A Little Thing Called Life<\/a>. In the book, Thompson reflected on the downfall of their relationship\u00a0around late 1976, at the height of his prescription drug addiction.<\/p>\n

“When I looked at all the pieces of myself that I had given up on Elvis\u2019s behalf, increasingly I saw that staying with him would demand a sacrifice that I was unwilling to make,” Thompson wrote. “I’d always wanted to be a mother, but I could not bring a baby into my life with Elvis.”<\/p>\n

“As much as I loved him,” she wrote, “I knew I wanted more\u2014and motherhood was just the start.”<\/p>\n

Less than a year after his breakup from Thompson, Elvis died at the age of 42 in August 1977.<\/p>\n

Following her relationship with Presley, Thompson went on to marry\u00a0Caitlyn Jenner<\/a>\u00a0in 1981, and the pair welcomed two sons together,\u00a0Brandon, 44, and\u00a0Brody, 42, before divorcing in 1986.<\/p>\n

Thompson was also previously married to\u00a0David Foster\u00a0for over ten years prior to their 2005 divorce.<\/p>\n
